For decades, Toyota has earned a reputation for manufacturing high-quality automobiles. In 2009 and 2010, the car company experienced a wave of safety problems, resulting in a huge number of recalled autos. In response, Akio Toyoda, the president of Toyota issued the following statement:

We pursued growth over the speed at which we were able to develop our people and our organization," he said. "I regret that this has resulted in the safety issues described in the recalls we face today, and I am deeply sorry for any accidents that Toyota drivers have experienced."

The specifications may be different from one comapny to another, one product to another, but the expectation is same, i.e. offering a most qualitative product to the customer without compromising. The same has been following by the world class companies like Apple, Toyota, Nike sports wear and so on. During the times, at some of the times it may possible to result face quality problems by the product. All these has to be settled by the producer himself.

When it comes to recall of the products, it is a historical practices, most of these happens in transportation vehicles only. If a Television is not produced not upto the given specifications, the consumer fail to have quality picture and sound, but if it is a vehicle, they may lost their lives. That is the reason why the producers of cars, if they find some defects are there, they work on them and recall them. It may occurs huge amounts of money and cost to them, but a life is more important than any amount of money. And the brand name established by the firms were results of their hardwork till from their inception. It may be lost due one or two incindents, and it again take time to rebuild.
