Question
You will create a 30 second TV spot for a Company name welcome to African Cuisine. The TV spot should be 30 seconds. For this on line class you can write out the instructions/dialogue. You won't need to include graphics. If you want to that's fine but I'm afraid describing it to you may cause more confusion than intended. For example if you are running a 30 second TV spot for this you would write:Shot 1: Close up of boy drinking Pepsi (2 seconds). U2 song, It's a beautiful day in the background. Shot 2: Long shot of a group of kids playing in the water (2 seconds), continue with song. Shot 3: Close up of kids in water drinking Pepsi (4 seconds), continue with song.
There should be at least 10-12 shots. Etc. Etc. Go through until you come to 30 seconds. In the above case if the shots are 2 - 4 seconds long then you would need about 10-12 shots. You could use dialogue, music, sound effects, you will need to show the product throughout the commercial (usually), make sure you sell the product as well as show it, say where you get it, and show a strong closing scene, a strong opening so people won't change the channel.
When you create a TV commercial you write a story board. Normally you would include pictures/graphics with the dialogue/music, etc. underneath. If you want to do that, that would be fine but it certainly isn't required. If I am not explaining this well and you would like to do a storyboard please let me know, and I'll try to explain it better.
