Collaboration using IT uses the social network which connects employers, employees and companies and customers and businesses worldwide. The three business functions and benefits that could be used by this social IT are:

a) Marketing using the collaboration and social IT network is very important and good as using social IT we can reach out to the worldwide group of people with very limited costs thus enhancing the business and brand value. The use of social network in Marketing has made it simpler and reaches to the whole world.

b) Using Online Advertisements to reach the world full of people either through search engines or through social network or any websites. All businesses use banner ads nowadays on websites for better promotion of their businesses.

c) Customer Service and User Interactions are made easier and possible much more than conventional ways using social IT network collaborations. Thus customers can reach out, admire, review and can give feedbacks on the business or company for other users to see.

There are also some problems that may happen such as:

a) Customers or competitors may target a company and post negative reviews and comments, thereby devaluing it and hurting its image to the consumers.

b) Marketing using Advertisements can be irritating at times when the user doesn't want to see the specific Ads.
