Explanation / Answer
Answer)
We are going to talk about the Windows OS.
1-Access Control - Access control is the process of authorizing the users, or groups of users and also computers from a remote or physical location to access resources on the network or physical computer. Thus, access control in Windows mainly is provided by entering the username password. Along with this, several types of biometric authentication can be setup with the use of defined hardware setup in the OS. By default in Windows :
Access is denied by default to unauthorized users and groups
Well defined limits are setup in the access control to define access provided to authorized users and groups
The good practice is to created groups of users that would use the computer on the same access level and then provide access privileges to that group rather than giving access to users individually.
2-Updates and patches - Windows generally checks for updates automatically and then installs them on the PC. We can navigate to -> Settings > Update & security > Windows Update to visit the Windows 10 Update page and select the Check for Updates. Windows will then check for the updates by connecting to the internet and then make the updates available for you to download and install or if the Windows is already updated, then it will mention that all the updates are installed on the system. Windows 10 periodically checks for the updates and auto downloads and installs them.
