increasing loss of I.T. jobs due to greater use of cloud services, and/or the reduced need for in-house tech-savvy employees if most of the interesting technical work is done at the cloud back-end.
Quite often though, one hears the counter-argument made that whilst it may appear that jobs are being lost, cloud services providers create many new jobs at their end, globally, to support cloud operations. It is also often argued that offloading boring technical/I.T. work to the cloud frees up companies to do more creative and productive tasks, which in the long-run make their businesses more profitable and more likely to sustain a larger workforce
Which of these two sets of arguments resonates with you, and why?

The argument that I can relate to being of some value is that cloud services, even when they cause a job reduction, it creates better jobs at their end of the service and allows the company to free up their resources and use that as a means to innovate rather than just being stuck with boring backend jobs. This is a true statement concerning the power that cloud has provided the companies with. Company of any level of size, growth as well as technological capabilities can utilize the services and free up their end of the processes. This theoretically enables the companies to utilize their resources better, create new strategies that involve the use of all the resources more objectively while essentially allowing for better job enrichment and freedom on the parts of the workers. This is especially beneficial for a company that is based on the tech industry. There is a wave of innovation that could be essentially achieved if the companies allow their workers to have freedom of expression and jobs where they are values for their efforts and inputs. This would also enable the companies to be able to create the solution for problems, coming back with a newer approach and hence create a system of continuous growth and improvement at their end, essentially causing the company to be able to effectively manage their assets and not just reduce the jobs due to their resources being freed due to the augmentation of cloud-based services.
