Shell is a multinational oil, gas and energy company, known for its excellent ethical and social responsibility.

1.Yes, shell demonstrates social responsibilities in various ways. Some the way it does it through contributing fund towards sector like education, environment etc. Also Shell Participates in activities and encourages its employees to help the society in their capacity. Shells is into clear energy business and sell fuels which emits lesser pollution than other company fuels to help reduce the pollution in air. Likewise it has involved in providing and moving its business in direction where it helps the society in long term.

2.Yes, shell has been spending on green initiative since long. The vision statement also mentions the sustainable environment emphasis. It has been spending money on this cause and making conferences on the subject as well. Around $2bn on wind power, biofuels and electric cars were spent which also came in news and likewise the company involves in many activities for green initiatives.

3.The company strongly believes in sustainability. The company focuses on energy production through clean technology and resources and helping in many countries to provide energy sustainably. Also the company fuels emit less pollution than other fuels building trust even if customer pays higher for such fuels. IT involves in green initiatives, building electric cars, clear fuel and many more sustainable activities.

4.Being the company primarily dealing in oil and gas would be challenging to completely turn green. However, genuine effort can be made which the company is already doing and has the reputation for the same. Being manger, I would have made sure that company registers profit and the profit is being shared with the society in various ways like providing them services and product maintaining sustainability. Making sure that the Shell Corporate social responsibilities program that are there already for education, health, and road safety works well and implemented in the right way building people and society trust.
