Question

Let a capacitor be replaced by resistors with resistance 5.00 Ohms for each resistor. What is the amount of current the network of resistors draws from a 15.0 V battery?

I dont need those answered from what i asked. ^

The previous question was a picture of this::: ^^^^^

Consider the following combination of capacitors with capacitance 2.00 micro Farads for each capacitor Calculate the equivalent capacitance of the above network. If the equivalent capacitor is charged with a 5.0 V battery, Calculate the total charge and the electrical energy stored in the capacitor

Explanation / Answer

eff resistance in parallel is givne by 1/R = (1/R1+ 1/R2 +1/R3 -----> Reff = R/n

here R2, R3. R4 are on parallel, so Rnet = 5/3 =1.667 ohms

this is in series with 5 ohms, so Rnet = 5+1.6687 = 6.667 ohms

so current i = V/Rnet = 15/6.667 = 2.249 Amps
