Question
This organization is considering building a new call center. The CIO remembers the good job you did on the human factors of passwords. She now has asked you to investigate the ergonomic layout of the call center reps new workspaces. Of course you agree and do a web search on ergonomic workspace design. Of the trustable sources, you find a web tool for workspace design and ergonomics from OSHA [6] useful, http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/computerworkstations/. You also realize that the call center director will be retiring right after the completion of the new call center and that the CIO is hinting you are on the list as a possible replacement (a big promotion for you). You know the CIO likes to see analyses using CobiT, so you decide in your report to a) recommend a solid workspace design based on sound human factors and ergonomics and b) show how it fits into managing IT risks through CobiT. Do so in 2 to 5 paragraphs.
Explanation / Answer
Phishing attacks are one of the most common security challenges that both individuals and companies face in keeping their information secure. Whether it's getting access to passwords, credit cards, or other sensitive information, hackers are using email, social media, phone calls, and any form of communication they can to steal valuable data. Businesses, of course, are a particularly worthwhile target.
To help businesses better understand how they can work to avoid falling victim to phishing attacks, we asked a number of security experts to share their view of the most common ways that companies are subjected to phishing attacks and how businesses can prevent them.
