Let the criterias and their importance weights be

Investment required. 0.40

Technology required 0.20

Expected time frame 0.10

Public Reaction 0.1

Return on Investment 0.2

All the weights should add up to 1

Now we fill the score for this project by giving a score against each criteria and calculating the weighted score by multiplying the scores with weights and adding them up.

For example

Criteria. Weights . Score .   

Investment . 0.40. 5

Technology . 0 20 . 4

Expected Time .0.1. 6

Public Reaction . 0.1 . 8

Return on investment. 0.2 . 9

Weighted score 6.0
