Question
Knowing that Frodo and Sam need to carry light weight sustenance on their journey to the land of Mordor (where the shadows lie), Lady Galadriel put Lembas (elf wafers) wrapped in leaves in their back packs. One Lemba provides the nutrition for many meals. Separately, Sam had put peanut butter and jelly in his knapsack, along with a multipurpose knife. Frodo knows Sam has done so. But Frodo also knows that: a) Sam has never made a peanut and jelly sandwich, and b) Sam, like a computer, is not very bright. (Okay, this isn't really true, but assume...). Now, on the first night of their trip, they wanted to have a hearty meal, consisting of peanut butter and jelly spread between two Lembas. Peanut butter, jelly, sufficient Lembas, and the knife are in Sam's knapsack, and while the Lembas are wrapped in leaves, the peanut butter and jelly are each in jars with lids. Taking the role of Frodo, request in step-by-step fashion what Sam is to do to construct the peanut butter and jelly/Lemba sandwiches. Assume Sam knows nothing about how to make sandwiches, but, like a computer, that Sam can handle the logic of step-by-step instructions. In other words, Sam will do exactly what the instructions say to do. Sam understands and can execute basic English language instructions. Place Frodo's step-by-step instructions to Sam below:Explanation / Answer
