ll ol tie Tunction: (a) using nested for loops and (b) using sum functions. ook 3.28 The pressure and temperature of the atmosphere are ctal constantly changing depending on a number of factors in- m: cluding altitude, latitude/longitude, time of day, and season. To take all these variations into account when considering the design and performance of flight vehicles is impracti- cal. Therefore, a standard atmosphere is frequently used to provide engineers and scientists with a common reference for their research and development. The International Stan- dard Atmosphere is one such model of how conditions of the earth's atmosphere change over a wide range of altitudes or elevations. The following table shows values of temperature and pressure at selected altitudes. ise nd se Base Base Temperature T (°C) Lapse Rate km) (oC/km) Pressure, p (Pa)

Explanation / Answer

According to international standard atmosphere, the atmosphere has some layers. The layers had different temperatures in ionosphere, strathosphere etc. When aeroplane goes to certain height it maintain temperature till takeoff to takeon.

The performance of an aircraft depends on product design in typeof aereodynamics, environmental conditions etc. Pressure, density, temperature and humidity plays vital role in functioning of aircraft. The atmospheric pressure has a directly proportional relation to air density and temperature is inversely proportional to the density of air. The decrease of pressure indicates the decrease of density, according to ISA reduces pressure indicates that alters the production of lift the aircraft.

By following the above table the level at mesophere is constant when compared to other atmospheres . the altitude level is 51 when lapse rate is -2.8.

P=Po(1-Lh/To)^g/RL

The equation for Temperature constant as

L = lapse rate

h = height

R = gas constant

P = density

By using above equation we calculate the lapse rate according to height and various factors
