Question
Although the OSI model was introduced in the early 1980s, it is still routinely taught today. Why do you think it continues to be referenced more than thirty years after its creation? Do you think it is still relevant? Should it continue to be taught?
Add a new discussion in which you take a position and explain your rationale. Your posting must be at least two complete paragraphs in length, and include at least two references to online sources (one written and one video) that influenced your opinion. All writing and citations must be APA formatted.
Explanation / Answer
OSI model is just more complicated than practically necessary and in my opinion shouldn't be taught today where network designs vary with needs and do not fit a particular model.
