Explanation / Answer
Hi,
1. CACHE- we have 3 levels in cache L1,L2 and L3 which are used in front of main memory mainly because of their faster access.
2.RAM- random access memory is the memory circuit that holds data, program instructions and the operating system while the computer is on. RAM holds raw data that is waiting to be processed, as well as the instructions that will process the raw data.
3.ROM- read only memory is a permanent and non volatile memory containing permanent instructins used during boot process.
4.Magnetic storage- is the type of memory that stores data on disk via magentizing them ex: hard disk, floppy etc
5.Hard disk drive HDD contains platters and is the main storage device on most of the computers.
6.Here 7200RPM means revolutions per minute, hence the spin rate is 7200RPM
7.double layer or dual layer dvd can store double the capacity of a single layer (4.7) making it 8.5GB
8.DVD and bluray come under the Optical disc type of storage- Thedata is stored on the disc with a laser or stamping machine
9.SSD is the newest storage technology which stores data in erasable rewritable circuitry
Thumbs up if this was helpful, otherwise let me know in comments. Good Day.
