There are many technologies in use in driving healthcare organizations such as: bar coding, patient smart rooms, radio frequency identifiers (RFID), smart pumps, IPad/personal assistive devices. Also robotics are used and implemented in many areas of the healthcare department.

Here we will discuss an example of a smart technology that has been implemented on a setting. There are several vendors who are coming up with patient monitoring wearable devices. These wearable devices are attached to patients and have sensors and can help Alzheimer’s patients to live longer more efficiently.

This wearable device and sensors can be places on the patient and as well as in the home to track the patient and his activities to track and monitor movements through smartphone application. These features allow a alert to smartphone to make the user know that if the patient missed hi meal, if they fall, and any kind of their behavior.

This is very helpful and technology is helping to care for Alzheimer’s patients to take care care of them more efficiently and understanding their needs without them having to expect that. There is a big impact on this monitoring devices and sensor devices about patient care.
