Question
I am working on creating a database for a small business to take everyday business processes and implement SaaS. The Company has roughly 10 workers who are paid doing piece work, lets say they are in the walnut business. The workers are given walnuts in the shell and are paid to remove the nuts from the shell and place the nuts in gallons that they are compensated for.
Currently all of business needs are handwritten and this opens the door for inaccuracies, security breaches and just overall confusion depending on who is managing the building on any given day. The accountant who is the owners wife will no longer be able to do the books and hiring out an independant accountant is mnomre costly than developing an SaaS solution. The money saved alone in that aspect makes sense to move in a technological direction.
There management will have access to the database to input inventory, payroll and accounts payable.
Below is a rough breakdown of the things I would like the database to track
Inventory of walnuts in the shell to gallons of nuts produced
Payroll for employees
Bookkeeping for inventory received and accounts payable.
Log of where the walnuts came from with date of delivery and dates of sales for state and federal inspections.
I would like a little help developing the following.
Problem Statement.
Significance
Objectives
Deliverables
Methodology

Explanation / Answer
Problem Statement. the inventory must be checked in a regular period of time but the company people can set a alert for this happening if the inventory is low automatically the order is placed for new shipment this can be achieved with use of database-synchronization in the database. For that a schema is needed to be developed by the company
significance is to synchronize the data so that employee could be paid and the developed schema should be able to tackle the upcoming credit and debit of the company by supply chain method
Deliverables is where the software can predict the calculation of the expense and the profit gain to the company MD
methodology for this supply chain method should be used so that we can predict the buying and selling profit margin
