If a table does not have a foreign key, write None Do the tables exhibit entity integrity? Answer yes or no, and then explain your answer

Explanation / Answer

Primary Key : It uniquely identifies each record in a table.

Foreign Key : It refers to the primary key of another table.Simply links to tables.

1st Question :

EMPLOYEE Table : EMP_NUM (PRIMARY KEY) uniquely identifies every EMPLOYEE and refers to the JOB_CODE (FOREIGN KEY ) of JOB table.

JOB Table : JOB_CODE(PRIMARY KEY) uniquely identifies every job in JOB table. It not refers to any table's PRIMARY KEY so it's FOREIGN KEY is None

PROJECT Table : PROJ_NUM(PRIMARY KEY) uniquely identifies every project in PROJECT table and refers to the EMP_NUM  (FOREIGN KEY )  of EMPLOYEE table.

ASSIGNMENT Table : ASSIGN_NUM(PRIMARY KEY) uniquely identifies every assignment in PROJECT table and refers to the EMP_NUM  (FOREIGN KEY )  of EMPLOYEE table and PROJ_NUM(FOREIGN KEY )  of PROJECT table.

2nd Question

Answer : Yes

In Entity Integrity no PRIMARY KEY is allowed to null and PRIMARY KEY is unique for every row.

Tables exhibit entity integrity because all the records can be distinguished from each other no record is duplicated.

Table Name Primary Key Foreign Key EMPLOYEE EMP_NUM JOB_CODE JOB JOB_CODE None PROJECT PROJ_NUM EMP_NUM ASSIGNMENT ASSIGN_NUM PROJ_NUM, EMP_NUM
