Lack of attention to career anchors is not an ethical issue in my opinion. As a larger organization, there is a lot at stake in terms of market presence, the threat from competition etc. and an organization needs to do what is to be done to get the best out of employees. Hence, immediate performance is the focus. However, it can't be termed unethical as this is something organization has to do to survive in the market. If the organization started focusing on the career anchors of each employee it may not get the desired results to survive.

Over the years, a transition must be made to focus on career anchors. This does not have anything to do with ethics. As per research, there is a "positive significant relationship between career anchors and organizational commitment. Thus, each organization should pay much more attention to career anchors and organizational commitment."
