. Do you visit social networking sites or text throughout the day? How important to you is using technology to communicate throughout the day?
Explanation / Answer
Social Networking, these days, form an important part of today’s culture. One can seek the uses of social media to one’s own advantage such as building contacts for business and other purposes, sharing of inspirational stories or personal experiences at a tap of a button, undertaking promotional campaigns and even for mere entertainment or refreshment purpose. In any of the scenario, it is certain that if one can carefully visit these social networking sites and not make it an addiction, there is a door kept open to set oneself free if such sites tend to overpower us.
I do visit social networking sites daily. I also use the medium such as Whats App for texting purposes but I am not addicted to it. For me, texting often act as a reminder for certain activities where the oral communication fails to create a retentive strength for such a message. Besides, one may also not be in a position to accept calls at all times. Texting helps to come back and check for those messages or even reply instantly without using the mode of oral communications.
In this regard, I strongly support for the technology in communication today. Be it the usage of cellular phones, wireless technology, internet and data connection, mobile networks, etc. help us communicate in the most efficient way. Starting from the online banking activities to shopping, undertaking business to reuniting with old friends and staying connect to the newer ones; all need the essence of communication and technology helps me facilitate the same throughout the day.
