INTERNET - Internet helps us to communicate with others using emails , chats etc . It also help us to gain data from various other sources. Internet moves data from one place to another using its services.Internet is a large network of computers interconnect to each other ,these large networks are known as NETWORK SERVICE PROVIDERS (NSP), these NSP connec with eachother to transfer packet traffic.

HOW INTERNET works - computer connects to INTERNET in the form of client and server , where clients are the users (like us ) who browses for some data from specified webpages and server are the computers where these webpages are stored ,from where the requested data is copied to client computer.

In this client server model : There are many other models involved in this model such as ,

The data request by clients from the server goes in the form of PACKETS through networks.And these large web networks are sub divided into small networks that are again connected to each other , these small divided networks are SUBNET.

TCP/IP : transmission control protocol and internet protocol , they are the communication protocols across the web that defines how data shoulds transfer from one endpoint to another , this endpoint is called as PORT .ROUTERS are the networking devices that forwards data packets between networks , it performs the traffic directing function on internet .

DNS : Domain name system server are like an address book which conatins the address of all the websites over web . when we request an websites the web search for the address in dns and transfer the packet easily.Now , what is web address ? Since internet is a global network of computers therefore each computer connected to it has unique address, this address is known as public IP ADDRESS ( IP stands for internet protocol ).

there can be private IP address also , it is the address specified by any organization to create its own network.

and thus by travelling so long distance and passing through so many devices finally we get the data needed.
