Question
Business executives, particularly in the United States, commandeer incredibly high salaries and compensation packages. The numbers are approaching and surpassing the $100 million mark, that is a base salary and doesn't include many other perks and bonuses. In some cases, these executives are receiving this compensation even when the company is performing poorly. A number of arguments explain the rise in compensation packages, including market forces and competition for the few talented executives. Where should the line be drawn? Should there even be a line?If you were offered an outrageous compensation package to join a company that is laying off employees, declaring bankruptcy, and/or performing poorly overall, would you accept the position?

Explanation / Answer
Increasingly incredible high salaries and compensation for the jobs in workplace culture of United States of America has always been implemented. This specific type of approach is used by upper management as well as administrative level employees which directly used this type of a structure of getting very high payments company is poorly performing.
The line should be drawn on the basis of performance of the company. If the overall company is performing better in its operating environment in the overall salary of the top executive or the specific individual should be decided according to the profit generated by the organisation. It should not be authoritarian where availability of the salary does not have any relation with the company performance. Availability of this type of option would increase the ethical perspective of provision of salaries to the individuals and also provide positive support to the organisations facing low time.
If I were offered an outrageous compensation package which is the responsible for laying of employees, I would never choose the specific type of compensation program as it directly goes against my code of ethics. Each and every individual should apply the goal of ethics in their lifestyle where they have to decide between their ethical beliefs and Standards as well as they should focus on creating better environment of shared profits rather than focusing on the only and only their own profit which directly diminishes the idea of creating an ethical working environment. Present day situation laying of the employee would create a huge impact on their overall availability of job opportunities affect in them financially as well as socially which I would never do it even if I am offered and outrageous package to join a company.
If the company is facing bankruptcy or performing poorly overall I would never a line with such a specific ethical standards as this would a diminished my Belief in doing good for the organisation. Each and every individual inside the organisation should be awarded the compensation as per their performance rather than just being set at that position. This type of approach reduces the overall impact of transformational leadership which I follow and accepting this is specific type of position which is laying of the employees as well as putting myself at a position in a poorly operating company would not be adequate.
