Question

For this assignment you will be writing about Edward Snowden. Find some reputable sources describing the guy and what he did. Write many hundred words about that. Next, put yourself in his place. Would you do what he did? Why or why not? Is he a moron, a hero, a terrorist? Explain. What sacrifices would you be willing to make in the interest of personal freedom for Americans? Is the NSA justified constitutionally in their intelligence-gathering activities? Are you willing to quit your job and your life to let the world know what's going on?

Thanks!

Explanation / Answer

Edward Joseph Snowden is an American computer professional and former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee and He is the former contractor for the United States government also and He was born in 1983 June 21st.

He was know for coping and leaking the classified information from (NSA) the National Security Agency in 2013 without any authorization.

So after the leaking the information they discover the global survillance programs and five eyes intelligence
alliance with telecommunication companies who are linked up to in european gov.

Snowden is the name his friends use to call him. Snowden was hired in NSA Booz allen hamilton after Dell company in 2013. After that he went to hawaii and early june he leaked the information of NSA with the authorization.

So many poeple call him as hero and some people as traitor or patriot for leaking the information.

So in my point of view he is the real hero. Because it is the crime for viewing our personal data by NSA.
There must be a security for all data in interent and wesites. He has gone underground for now.
But this saga is far from over.

I think he did great service to the country. He had a well-paying job and a good life in Hawaii yet tore
it all up so that he could reveal to all of us what the NSA was doing to us in the name of national security.

He did so for no personal gain and at massive personal cost, because he cared about a basic principle:
that governments should not lie to their people.

I don’t think a person like that should be exiled from their country. I don’t think a person like that
deserves to be locked away for decades like Chelsea Manning.

I think President Obama or Now trumph should do the right thing: pardon Ed and let him come home to his family and his people.

If i was in his place. I will be doing the same thing which he did.....! Thank You.
