Explanation / Answer

1.Ethics is very important as these statement guides the people working in organization to do what is right, to follow the righteous conscience and to act and adhere to policies and principle envisioned by the organization. It also shows the value the organization stands for.

Certainly this codes of ethics are of common sense and most of the people would be knowing it however to put it on organization website or elsewhere in organization is to tell it to the world and stakeholders that expressly about the values and principle that company or organization stands for.

2.Yes, I believe that both the company and their codes of ethics are right and that both the companies will do better in future surely because they have cared about ethical values and respect towards employees, society etc. and following these ethical principles that they have written would certainly work for better.

The Johnson company has however elaborated in detail about the ethical values it stands for but in reality many of the ethical principles it has stated does not go down the line in any organization and many a times ethics are being compromised. However the organization shall always be trying to do its best to put the ethical code to be followed by all.

3.I feel that individual remains committed to their own codes of ethics but it has been seen in many real cases that when some other issues comes up before an entity wherein it’s on stake to save them from some liability and to follow ethics. Most entities choses to save themselves than caring about the society or people or anything else. However, it should always be acknowledged that organizations does business in society and operated within it so does it should be responsible towards society and shall follow what is right and should not ignore these principles.

4.Practice of slotting is certainly unethical as many organization jumps into the fray and offer bigger deal to retailers for promoting their brand which gets the consumer confused about which product would be best and many startup business products face difficulty even selling their genuine good quality products. This is in nowhere serving society instead it sounds misleading and promoting on basis of financial strength.Following ethics would certainly mean that any kind of bribing is not good however many companies do indulge in these kind of things sometimes out of compulsion and sometimes out of remaining in competition.
