We know that the blob detection methods and they aimed at detecting regions in a digital image and that differ in properties such as brightness or colour compared to surrounding regions.Taking informally a blob is nothing but the image region in which the properties are constant or approximately constant.Take all the points ans they are similar to each other.Convolution is the most common method for blob detection.

They are two main classes of blob detectors nothing but diffrential methods.These methods are based on the derivatives of the function with respect to a position.Here coming to second one some methods are based on local extrema used to find the local maxima and minima of the function.These detectors can also refered as internet region operators for corner detection and point detection.

For developing the blob detectors had a several motivations.To provide complementary information about regions which is not obtained from the corner detectors or from edge detectors is the main reason.Blob detection also used to obtain regions of interest.Texture recognation is also possible by using detection techinique.For a wide baseline sterio matching blob descriptors found more popular use as interest points.To signal the elonged objects there is also the related notion of ridge detection.
