write 350–500 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

Research at least 2 sources (which may include your textbook) to support your response, and discuss the following:

Compare and contrast 3 of what you consider the most appropriate types of quality systems for the project that you will use in your Key Assignment.

In your opinion, which is the best type of quality system? Why?

Write 2 more paragraphs that are an introduction and conclusion to this topic. Be sure to include your references, and format your submission in APA format.

Explanation / Answer

Similarities
By comparing there are several common things in the ISO 9001 standard and the Six Sigma methodologies. The best thing is these can be done together to meet the requirements of both within the processes.

Process Approach:
In the view of Process Approac both ISO 9001 and Six Sigma use a process approach in applying. ISO 9001 looking at an overall system as smaller and predictable results on the individual processes of the system. The best thing in ISO 9001 is done because controlling and improving the individual processes is much easier than to control and improve the entire system. While Six Sigma is used on an individual process in order to control it using a SIPOC diagram . SIPOC is a way of representing the process in order to better understand how it works.

Cycle of Improvement:
In this point of view both systems have the methodology of using a cycle for improvement. ISO 9001 is based on a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and used to focus efforts on improvement in the system. This statagy allows for an ongoing cycle where changes are made to improve an aspect of the system, then checked and acted upon to correct problems. While in Six Sigma for process improvement projects is the DMAIC project methodology which is an improvement cycle based. The common thing with both systems, all phases of the cycle must be followed for the cycle to work.

Differences between Six Sigma and ISO 9001

The ISO 9001 standard is an international set of requirements to use as the basis to develop an entire quality management system resource management. Meanwhile, Six Sigma is solely a set of tools and methods used to improve business processes.Six Sigma follows project methodology used for design, which is referred to as Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). This methodology is not equivalent to the design process defined in ISO 9001 but could be used as a method of design improvement.

which is the best type of quality system? Why?

In my opinion ISO 9001 is best type of qualty system.Because it involves looking at an overall system as smaller, and focus efforts toward more consistent and predictable results. This is done because controlling and improving the individual processes can be a much easier and more effective way to control and improve the entire system. And also the ISO 9001 standard contains internationally recognized set of requirements including all aspects of the business.

Which is the easiest to implement? Why?

In my opinion ISO 9001 is easiest type of qualty system. Why because controlling and improving the individual processes can be a much easier and more effective way to control and improve the entire system
