Consumer decision making is also called as buyer decision making. It is process, in which consumers identify thier needs, collect information about desired product and it's alternatives, evaluate each alternative to make purchasing or buying decision.
This purchasing or buying decision is based on different factors like tastes and preferences of customers, education, life style, economic standard, culture, region etc..
This decision making process is very useful to marketers to understand the buying behaviour of customers. Based on that they will plan future market to their products.
Process of problem recognition means to identify what customers exactly require. As a marketer, this is very important to you, , once the requirements of the customers are recognised, provide the products according to their requirements, they feel better. It is useful to you also, because customer satisfaction brings good results.
The process of information search means customers are prefer to changing their buying behaviour, they just want to leave old products and search for new products in search engine like Google.
Evaluation process in consumer decision making process means
To evaluate each and every alternatives to particular product based on their merits and demerits, select the best one among them. This is very useful to consumer to make better decision.
Outline selection process leading to purchase
Outlet means a point where goods available for selling or distribution. This outlet also playing key role in consumer decision making process. Because, based on outlet, and it's services, people will make purchasing decisions.
