According to Bergstram and Hamilton, organisations have different structures and these structures have a bearing on attitudes and behaviour. Each organization has a different culture and structure which makes them a different performer altogether. Behaviour of individuals working in these organisations also are influenced by the structure and the culture of the organisation. As part of a management training programme in your organisation, you are required to undertake research into; two different types of organizations one of which should be a local company and the other an international company dealing in 2 different products or services.

Explanation / Answer
1.1Organsation structure majorly depends on kind of business, geography,demogprahic nature etc. It can be of functional, departmental, matrix,and flat . Functional organisation structure basically onvolved various functions and the units associated with it like finance, marketing, production , human resource etc. At the same time departmental is more or like function but have more deep dive or micro organisation structure inside it. Matrix type is project based type which has every function under one project or process. Flat is very open type heirarchy and is less formal.
Culture of organisation totally depends on nature of work . Major types are clan, adhocracy, market, heirarchy culture etc.Adhocracy is dynamic in nature and is more open to innovation and experiments. Market is result oriented culture which emphasize finishing work, hierarchy is very formal type culture.
1.2 It can have direct and indirect impact on business. An organisation with good culture or open culture can help in enhancing the communication channel more effective which in turn will generate colloborative effort among employees.

eg: Scientific management:Humans aspects got supressed in this theory and is more related to science and technology.It is more concentrated on design of job,, The process of selecting approporate person is based on scientific assesment. Bureaucracy, it is mostly involved in complex organisation where discipline, time management etc has major concern. Fixed set of duties and clear level of responsbilities will be assigned . Human relation approaches is very transparent and open to change in nature. Thus practise of management totally underpins the organisational theory.
