Explanation / Answer

The observation is based on a visit to a bustling marketplace in an Asian location.

It is a huge market held on every Wednesday, that sells everything from clothings, to food items to kitchenware, electronic good to livestock and so on. It is frequented by many who travel from as much as 50 miles to get best bargains on good quality items.

The sellers comprised of both men and women. Where men called the customers on the top of their voice, women's tone was on higher pitch but lower volume. There was more agression and desperate attitude in men's approch. Among the customers.men spent lesser time on shops while women haggled more. Women held their children more close to their bodies whereas men were indifferent. Men stared at other women while it was not the case with women who meant their business. Some men wearing feminine clothes, or women in masculine attire were not uncommon. Some men pushed and shoved to move ahead in the crowd, while no women was seen doing this. However, I saw two women arguing on the top of their voices over a broken earthenware. It was seen that men who seemed to belong to an upper class society, spoke slowly among themselves than others, but sported a feeling of disgust on their faces. One case of aberration from the expectation was an elite looking lady driving her car so reklessly that she almost hit a padestrian, and instead of apologizing, started abusing him. The looks can be sometimes deceptive. She was however, penalised by a police officer on duty. She drove her care quietly and left.
