Question

Hi guys!! I am taking a Linux class, and one of the assignments is to transfer a file from my local computer to the Class Server.

I know how to login to the server and all, but I am having trouble copying the file to there. Can you help me?

Let's say for example, the file "authorized_keys" is in my Desktop folder. How do I transfer it from my Computer, to the CentOS server?

I already tried the scp command, but it did not work. IDK what I did wrong. I would appreciate any help!

The assignment is below. Thanks a lot guys!

Please transfer the attached file to your own vm and place it under: /root/.ssh/ with the name of authorized keys and permissions: 0600 authorized keys

Explanation / Answer
