Database users are one which make use of the database. Different type of database users dependind upin the need are.

1) Application Programmer : These are the computer users which interact with the database using DML queries which means programs written in host languages like Java,C++. Then these queries are converted to object code which inturn communicate with the database server.

2) Sophesticated User : These are the users which communicate without writing the programs. These make request in the form of query to the database like select,insert,update etc. They dont use any application to form the request with the database.

3) Specialized Users : These are just like Sophesticated users while the difference is they write specail query database application programs. These are the developers who create the complex queries for the program.

4) Stand Alone Users: These are the users which have a Stand alone database for there personal use and these are kind of readymade database.

5) Native Users: These are the users which use the application from the front end which inturn contacts with the database e.g ATM, Online Ticketing system etc
