Discusssion :
In this situation, there is no employee performance recognition. It is a management trick not to praise an employee. There is a chance of occuring this situation.It is a worst situation for an employee who really worked. He may lost his zeal towards work. Actually it is human nature to be recognized for his performance. If there is no recognition for employee performance , there will be no employee engagement. If there is no proper employee engagement there will be no organizational efficiency. Employees are the assets of an organization.
When labor market is favourable to an organization, they do not need to respect employees/workers. It means organization/management can find employees/workers for the same kind of job. So, it depends on the toughness, skill/talent required for the job.
Being faculty i finished syllabus of concerned subject in time. I told this to my superior. He just replied me that others also have to finish. He told this with team spirit. He expected equal participation of employees.It is a good management practice.
In the cartoon situation, there are two aspects to be discussed.
Positive aspects :
Negative aspects :
Conclusion: An employee should work with dedication with out any expectation. It is the sense of management to understand the importance of talent retainment, motivation of employee, performance recognition etc. It is not a good management practice. It is not at all suggestible to control an employee to avoid hike.
