Ans:- Yes , there are certain characters are there which doesn't allowed for the name of the file, those are /?:"@<> and any character we can type with the ctrl key in the keyboard.

(c) Does your operating system distinguish between uppercase and lowercase characters in a file name?

Ans:- No, windows operating system doesn't distinguish between Lower case and the upper case of file names. It treats both are same.

Ans:- To setup new account goto Control Panel--> Accounts and users --> Then setup new user

Ans:- To display al the names of directory's and files in the root directory goto CMD---> then change the directory to the root directory (cd /c) --> Then typer dir this dos command wi list al the files and directories along with the space information.

(c) Delete a file from the disk.

Ans:- To delete the file select the file right click on it and then select option delete from the pop-up. Or select the file press the button del from keyboard or goto cmd prompt -> goto to the specific directory --> then del or erase followed by file name.

(d) Change the name of a file.

Ans:- select the file right click on it then select rename option from pop-up then change the file name or goto cmd prompt then type the command move filename1 filename2.

(e) Duplicate a file.

Ans:- select the file right click on it select the option copy and then right click on screen then select paste option. Or goto command prompt type the command copy path1 path2.

Ans:- right click on file select properties. Or goto command prompt type the command dir path.

(g)Display the most recent modification time of a file.

Ans:- To display the most recent modification time goto cmd --> dir /T:W directory path.
