Cloud computing is the computing provided through use of internet by giving services of storage, server, combined computing, shared networks and other resources for IT purposes. The cloud thus is a separate third party infrastructure, through which one can get the services. The cost of infrastructure is not borne by the user in cloud computing. Cloud computing is used to outsource data and data processing through outside hardware and software support. Cloud computing works with the help of internet which can access databases and servers for storage or analysis purposes. The cloud computing provides several benefits on the cost front by cutting down on capital costs, grants economies of scale to the cloud service provider, relaxation about capacity required for computing, better speeds and accessibility, no maintenance cost and time and access from around the world. Thus cloud services are very beneficial for the user.
Amazon provides AWS cloud services as separate business. The AWS provided by amazon is free for usage for 12 months. Different services are provided for different uses and requirements. Like Amazon EC2 for online computing, S3 for storage purposes, RDS for database purposes, AWS IoT for messaging, etc. Apart from this amazon also provide Moodle services through which online courses can be run. It helps educators to provide learnng to various learners around the globe in millions of numbers to connect ad learn. Thus, Amazon has made successful stride in the use and progress of cloud computing. The business model is effective and serves various purposes.
