US Foods Inc. headquarter in Illinois, is a Public-sector enterprise, which is the largest food service provider in the US. It offers more than 350,000 products and their own prepackaged products as well as frozen foods. The company has been estimated by the human resources working with it. They have more than 25,000 people working across the 60 locations nationwide. They have the also more than 250,000 customers which includes independent and multi-unit restaurants, healthcare and hospitality entities, government and educational institutions. This company was jointly funded by the two companies.

Background:

The company was started in 19th century. They have started with the Tea and Coffee Retail merchant with in the Chicago. They first discovered the hotels and restaurants for the biggest customers. Gradually the business has grown up by enhancing with the product segments. They provide the offerings of good Quality foods into the market. So, they have increasing the customer worth by increase in the customer base. They have worked in partnership. They have the growing sales force that covers the entire region. As the demand of the product increases with the increase in the selling area that is why they have grown the sales force. Later they have the Multibranch organization for the offering. They have done Acquisition for the business also in the past years. They got listed in the stock market. With this they have the strategy to increase the investment base from the stock market.

They offer the products with the same pace as they offered earlier. The Quality of the product never compromised by the company, which is the main reason for the growth.

Value Chain:

The value chain offering of this company, along with its continuum of product and service offerings. As they grew more because they have analyzed the value chain from the whole seller, distributer to retailer. All the Chain have the certain service offering with the effective way of delivering the product. The chain has never had a conflict with the company management. They have the cooperative negotiation type always. If the conflicts happen it was always given the best possible strategy which help in growth of the company. The product was consistently delivered and supplied across the regions.

Service Quality:

Service Quality and the Quality of the product they offered have the Best Quality amongst the other offers. The service is dependent of the need of the customer. The customer needs were always fulfilled.
