MPS is the master production schedule is the basically comes from the customer and it contains the customer sales order demand. This demand needs to produced to meet the customer demand. For this the MRP is run for achieving the demand as per master production schedule. Hence MPS drives the production plan, as the input from MPS comes into production plan. MRP is planning material resource planning for meeting the customer demand generated in MPS. hence MPS is the starting point for the MRP.

Part 2 Answer - c (I, II, and III only) statements are true.

Master Scheduel activity drives the MRP, as it is the input for the MRP and the base of MRP is to meet the demand generated by Master schedule activity. The Master schedule activity can be used for future production plan as it helps to give the information of future demands.
