Question
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PYTHON TASK
Objectives: 1. You should have already saved the JUNB protein sequence in a FASTA file.
2. Write a script called ‘leucine_zipper.py’, which you will store in the same folder as your sequence file.
3. Use regular expressions. So do this, you must first import re. This needs to be done at the very beginning of your code, right after #!/usr/bin/python.
4. Read the sequence from the file and save it in a variable, e.g. sequence.
5. Create your motif variable for leucine zippers using dots (.). Hint: a motif with a Leucine (L) repeated twice with a two arbitrary amino acids in the middle would be: motif = ‘L..L’ Remember that the leucine zipper pattern is an L with 6 other amino acids, and then an L with 6 other amino acids, and then another L, so on and so forth.
6. Use re.search to check if the leucine zipper pattern. See syntax on previous page.
7. Print the location and motif within the sequence.
FILE TO IMPORT CALLED JUNB.FASTA CONTAINS:
