1.Please provide a specific example of a company you know or have read about, and how it has demonstrated social responsibility, and how this has benefited the company. (Provide an example for each of the stakeholders identified above (Communities, Consumers, Shareholders, and Employees). More than one company must be discussed in the response.

2.Explain why Corporate Social Responsibility is important to society as a whole.

Explanation / Answer

Answer: Corporate social responsibility to which we often called CSR are the work of the organization towards the society. This may be in any form but this certainly helps in growing the society.

I was working in a company and it has a CSR activity called FLAME, Which helps small child to get their basic education and bring them to school premises by volunteering.

This was really beneficial for all stake holders:

For Communities: The young generation of the students are getting education free of cost and learning the life and hence a good communities in future

For Individual: This really helps in shaping their life by CSR activities.

Consumer: Consumer is also part of the society and they will grow when the society grows.

Employee: Employee feels motivated when they saw the company indulge in many social causes. This will make the company name high and thus selling the product will be good for the sales people

Other companies which I have seen is also serving the above purpose and doing work like opening of the hospital, opening of the gym for old people, living old age houses, anti-dowry campaign etc

Explain why Corporate Social Responsibility is important to society as a whole

This is a responsibility of the organization to give back to the society which actually helps companies to grow in a market by providing such environment. These activities results in sustainable growth of the company and makes company’s brand values and company is being respected and hence ultimately a good impact on profit.

It is the responsibility of the company to serve the communities and societies from where they are taking so much things like manpower, land, people, and passion etc.
