Answer)
A Project environment has the resources, constraint, and elements in a project that impacts our testing. The many factors about the project environment which are critical to the decision are;
Mission : Mission is to identify your purpose in the project scenario such as: you should know the customers, you should realize how are you benefitting the customers and what the customers are expecting of you, about what your role is in the project and what test cases should you create and run, you would also have to resolve conflicting expectations and identify those.
Information is the information that you need for the testing to happen. To collect the information it is to be known that: we should consult whom for the materials and information about the project, which documents can help us in testing the application, the history that the project has would also impact the testing, also current and important information is needed.
Developer relations is the realtionship with the devleopers and programmers. We have to identify if the developers seem overconfident about any aspect of the project, some parts where the devleopers don't want to be tested and oppose being tested, how much we are friends with the programmers, how is the communcation between the tester and the programmers and what kind of feedback do they have about your testing strategy.
Tes team: is about knowing the testing team who will be doing the testing and if we will be having enough people to perform the testing. Also, we need to find out that, if there are people who have tested similar products like the one in hand, and whether there are any writers or programmers in the testing team. Also, we need to know if there is any testing needed to perform the testing, and what will be the probable problems such as different lcoations and time zones.
Equipment and tools: is about the Hardware the team will need to perform the testing. Along with the Automation tools if there already are for testing the products. Also, we need to find out if there are any tools needed to aid in the observation and testing, and what are the documents to tracks the progress of the testing.
Schedule : is the sequence and duration of the testing events such as for Test Design, Test Execution, Development - when the product will be available for testing and whne wil the documentation will eb available for the review.
Test items: include the product to be tested. We need to know the scope of the test of the product, the availability of the product to test, the volatility that is if the product is constantly changing, and what all new stuff has been added to test the product. Also, if the product is ffunctional and can be tested and what parts should be tested for the future releases.
Deliverables: the product of the test of the product. The content that we will ahve to deliver after the testing is done, the purpose such as if the deliverables have to be run as part of the project, what all standards we have to follow and how do we record and comunicate the reports in a specific media.
