There are many different types of application software. We often use a combination of software applications in order to complete tasks in professional and personal settings.The text focuses on the following categories: productivity and business software, and multimedia and educational software.

There are n numbers of application softwares available on internet, some of them are paid while some of them are free.

We will talk about 2 basic softwares but the are very vital in todays life :

1) Web Browsers- application software such as google chrome, mozila firefox, opera, Apple's safari, they are the Door to access the vast amount of knowledge present on the internet. without these softwares, we cannot use the internet to its fullest.

It doesnt matter if you are in school, home or any organization, if you want to access the information present on the internet, then you must posses one of these application softwares.

How to get these softwares- just google any of these browsers and you will be directed to the download page of the software. (Note that, you need a browser for searching another browser :p but don't worry, windows provides internet explorer inbuilt in our system, which can be used to download any of these applications)

All the above mentioned applications are free to download and use, you dont have to spend single penny on them.

2) Another day to day used applications are computer programming softwares. softwares which can create a digital world whether it is android application, mobile applications, web based applications, websites, blogs, online pages and so and so on, can be created with the help of a good programming language and a software to create them. There are n number of programming application softwares available such as Netbeans, eclipes, pycharm, dev, Intellij, edit plus, It would be impossible to create such a massive infrastructure of information on the internet without these application softwares.

Almost everyone of these programming application softwares are free to download and use.
