During recent years a lot of problems have been faced by Resonus corporation. The department which was hit really badly is the department of engineering as it had at least two heads in last two years. All the operational activities of the organization are managed and monitored by executive Bill Hunt. There are number of departments in this organization which have their own specific activities and tasks to be done in coordination with other departments.
A lack of coordination between the department heads and other departments interfering in the work of the other are the main problems which are being faced by this organization. There has been a conflict between the research department and Frank Choy’s engineering department. There is a delay in the output production of the firm because of enthusiastic nature of Doc Kalandry. Being the most brilliant mind in the company, CEO always gives preference to Doc. Whatever ideas are brought by him is accepted by CEO. The reporting manager of Doc is Choy but he mainly reports to Hunt and it created a conflict between the ESD and research departments

With the help of Doc’s actions, we can analyses the influence tactics in the corporation. The authority of Choy is overlooked by him and he prefer to work independently. ESD department has a lot of complaints regarding him not acting as a team member. During the new design consultations, ESD department is being ignored by him and whenever any problem occurs, CEO accuses ESD department. These kinds of policies which are derived by the organization are termed as organization politics as there is no importance given to the head of the Engineering department and therefore they are regularly undermining his authority.
