Some of the steps that are taken while setting up a disaster recovery data center are as follows:

1) Assessment of the operational risks

2) List the internal and external assets, suppliers, resources, and other stakeholders etc

3) Accumulate the required documents like equipment configuration, network diagram etc.

4) Keep the existing Data Center DR Plan

5) Develop a data center disaster recovery plan

6) Collect the infrastructure documents

7) Work with the management for determining the serious vulnerabilities

8) Review the history of outrages and disruptions.

9) Identify the data center assets and check the maximum outrage time

10) Conduct the test plans and system recovery process for validation.
