Question
This subject is actually Database Management System(MIS) BACKGROUND A graduate assistant who works for your professor has asked your class to base to help her keep track of a baby-sitting cooperative that she is running w friends. Here's the e-mail she sends to you. TO: FROM: locky &youraeiversity.cda Dear Class A group of married graduate students here at the university have Most of us are on very tight budgess and cannot affeed to pay baby-siners, so we another's children. Each of us builds up credits when we baby-sit, and then swe use those credia toward having other grad students baby-sit for us formed a baby-siting co-op Since we began this baby-siting co-op five years ago, it has grown so much thas I can't take eare of the paperwork without the help of the computer. I would like you to design and create a database for me to keep track of debits and credits of our members. I need to keep track of our members, who their children are, and each child's birthday. I also need to log how many bours each person baby-sits (the start and finish times and the date) and for whom. We calculate credits based on the trumber of hours a family baby-sits. The credits and debits of baby-sitting are based on the family as a unit. So, one time the dad could baby-sit and the next time the mom might baby-sit, but both times are credited to their family account With the new database system, I would like to have a table where I can keep track of the future baby-sitting appointments and also keep track of past appointments. Then each week, 1 will generate a report of the credits peoplo have earned and the credis they have used up for baving a sitter for their own children. Finally, I would like to have a mailing list of all the children. sorted by their birth date, so I can send each of them a card at the appropriane time. I hope you can heip me with my problem. Thank you and good luck Candace Lucky 1 CREATING THE DATABASE DESIGN In this assignment, you will design your database tables on paper. Pay close attentionto their logic and structure. Do not start your Access code (Assignment 2) before getting feed- back from your instructor on Assignment 1. Keep in mind that you will need to look at what is required in Assignment 2 to design your fields and tables properly. It's good programming practice to look at the required outputs before designing your database. SSIGNMENT Design the tables you'll need on paper, avoiding data redundancy. Do not create a field if it could be created by "calculated field" in a query . 87 by-sitting Co-op DatabaseExplanation / Answer
