The group has signed a contract with a company to provide the bike sharing technology and hardware (bike stations, bikes, network equipment, a server, and bike sharing software that automates the process of checking out and returning bicycles, and billing customers). The docking station provides a limited number of bike parking spots and is characterized by its location, bike capacity, and by real-time number of bikes parked. Docking stations have computers running on them, credit card reader, and a networking module which allows it to be connected to the Internet. The fleet of bikes has also been purchased.

FUNCTIONING OF THE SYSTEM There are two ways a user can get access to the system: 1) Using her annual subscription ($70) - 2) Buying day pass ($5) Every ride under 30 minutes is free. User is charged $1 dollar for a ride between 30 and 1 hour, 3 dollars for rides between 1 hour and 2 hours and a flat rate of 7 dollars for any ride over 2 hours. The users who haven’t returned a bike within 10 hours are billed with a $50 fine.

REGISTRATION PROCESS A user can register online or purchase a day pass at the station.

* Compute the number of bikes checked out at the given bike station;

The group will have a Web page with an Information system which will have the following details:-

Bike type, cost of renting the bike, packages option available and points where you can pick up the bike.

Bike booking and Ordering process: (Customer side): This process will take the order, collect the deposit and handle customer end to end.

Pay the deposit and the rental
Payment can be made by card or any wallet, also cash.
You will click on agree to term and conditions and your responsibility for the bike.
Internal process:
Customer books a bike and selects rental
The information is shared with the corporate office and the location center
The bike is handed over to the customer and both corporate office and customer gets a message with the time the bike was collected.
The bike is returned customer gets a thank you message and the message is sent to the corporate office that the transaction I completed.
The customer feedback form is sent to the customer
Customer feedback Process:
The feedback form is sent as soon as the bike is returned
The service level and customer satisfaction levels are measured
The customer giving 2 stars or less are given a call to check the reason
The customer complaint is noted.
The service provider at the location is informed about the issue.
If it is related to bike maintenance , the maintenance team is immediately informed to sort it out
If it is, a customer service point issue the customer is given next ride free.
Maintenance Process:
The information of purchase date and monthly maintenance is uploaded
The bikes which have become damaged or non reparable are sent as junk
The new purchase requisition is sent to the corporate office.
The software will be customized from time to time to generate any requirement highlighted by the customers. The software will also generate cost benefit analysis, profitability statements, daily turnover, revenue generation and sales report. The corporate team can look at the weakness and reasons with the help of the feedback to improvise their systems.
