Explanation / Answer
What are the similarities and what are the differences between peer-to-peer networks.
File sharing
************
it need central server
it is 1 to 1 connection only client can download data from file server.
if server failed no data can be shared.
it is authenticated file transfer.
its less virus and worms distributer.
can not downlaod folder directly.
files are scanned by the filtered firewall from the server.
P2P Network
***********
it does not need central server.
it allowed to share data among all the connected nodes.
there is no server so if any one node is shutdown other can share same file to the new nodes.
its unauthenticated file transfer.
mostly virus, malware, ransomware are spread from this network all over the world.
files can be downloaded with folder copy as source computer have.
there is no central mechanism for security except end users have.
Thanks
