Question
Architects must be employed by builders in commercially marketed systems because many customers are unwilling to sponsor long-term development; they purchase systems after evaluating the finished product according to their then-perceived needs. But placing the architect in the builder’s organization will tend to dilute the independence needed by the architect.
a. What organizational approaches can help to maintain independence while also meeting the needs of the builder organization?
b. Identify an appropriate heuristic that you advise the organization to us and how the heuristic applies to the particular example
Explanation / Answer
a>Following approaches can help maintain the independence of the architect while meeting the needs of builders organization.
b>A heuristic that I will advise an organization shall be working with an organizational identity. The organizational identity shall keep financial and other system administration in mind with a long terms strategic plan with a set of staffs that can work with common vision as the organization to achieve the goals.
As for example, we can take a builder organization who is assigned to complete a multi facility apartment which shall be A+ ranked in standard of living. As for organizational identity, it should have experience in building such high class projects, with their own blue print. They shall employ a system which should be able to work under a financial constraint with a set of staffs who they trust and admire to deliver such high class projects. All of organization ,system and working staffs shall have unity, belief and trust among themselves to go through any difficulty or un foreseen circumstances faced during the development of the project.
