Explanation / Answer
If you post more than1 question, as per chegg guidelines we are to answer only first question. But I still answered 7. So, please don't dislike the solution.
Ques 1. Answer : (a) Literal
Literal are the syntactic representation of the data types we use like integer, double , string , boolean.
e.g : 1 , 1.234 , "Hello" , true
We use these values and store them in the variables and use them.
Ques 2. Answer : (B) Class Definition
In java, all the coding is done inside a class and when we run the program, we first compile the class and then run it. It is different from languages like C / C++ where we declared the main() function outside. But in this, we declare the main() fucntion inside the class. So, a clas definition is a minimum requirement for a program to run.
Other options are optional as per the code requirement.
Ques 3. (c) Demo.class
In java, the program is save as Demo.java.
But when we compile the code, the we get a new file which contains the byte code and it is a .class file. So, the file generated will be
Demo.class
Ques 4. Answer : (d) Variable
A variable is a label type in Java. It is a names location in which we store a paarticulat value. It can be of any type like int , double, String , boolean etc.
e.g:
int x = 2;
x is a variable and we are assigning value 2 to it.
Ques 5. Answer: (b) */ Comment two /*
*/ Comment two /* is not a valid comment syntax.
The
/** Comment One */
/* Comment four */
are multi line comments.
The
// Comment two
is a single line comment.
Ques 6. Answer : (c) javac First.java
When we complie the Java file, we use the javac command and also add the name of the .java file.
So, the correct command is
javac First.java
Ques 7. Answer : (a) .java
The valid extension for a Java file is .java.
