The throughput a user gets is called the_ O rated speed O aggregate throughput O individual throughput O all of the above 10 points Save Answer QUESTION 22 Communication between SDN controllers and routers is governed by O northbound APts southbound APls O both A and B O neither A nor B 10 points Save

Explanation / Answer

Q20: SDN:  Software defined network are configured using open softwares. There is a controller which asks switch or router what to do they don't do anything of there own. E.g. connection is established and suddenly due to congestion connection drops now controller will come into play it will tell switch there is another path that it can take to send the packets. User doesn't directly interact with routers and switches but they do it with the help of softwares. In SDN there is logically centralized control that controls all the devices. so here control is over sofware rather than indiviual devices.

Traditional operation: In Traditional operation we have physical devices that we control. User need to goto indiviual devices to configure or troubleshoot it if something goes wrong. Here interaction is directly with routers and switches rather than any centralized sofware managing all of these devices.

SO Ans for question 20 is Traditional Operations.

Q2: Rated Speed: It's the amount of data that can pass through the line per second. Say we have Nic Card that supports 1Gbps speed it is called rated speed. Rated speed gives us the maximum rate at which the data can be transferred. So this is not the answer as we have to see throughput that a user gets. Throughput is amount of data that are being transferred at paticular amount of time. Throughput keeps changing as we know data transfer speed varies but rated speed will never change as it gives us the maximum value at which we can transfer the rate.

Aggeregate Throughput: Say we have 5 users on a network all of them are transferring data. Aggeregate throughput will be how much all these 5 users are transferring at that time. This doesn't give us a throughput of 1 user but all the users that are connected to the access point. so this is not our answer.

Individual throughput: This is the amount of data that a sigle user is transferring. And as the question states what do we call the throughput that user gets. It's called individual throughput.

Ans is Individual throughput.

Q22: As we have already seen SDN helps us to connect to routers and switches with the help of APi's those API's are

Southbound API's are used to communicate between SDN controller and switch or routers. Basically we have 3 layers in SDN lower level is our switches and routers. on top of that we have controllers which controlles these devices and southbound API's is used for that.

NorthBound API's works at higher level it works over Controller it supports many applications which is written in high level languages such as python. NorthBound Api's doesn't communicate directly with Routers and switches but gives instruction to the controller. this is done with the help of NorthBound API.

Ans for question 22 is SouthBound Api's
