1. The local trip benefits on the cost saving and that is the major strength for the students to participate for the trip.

2. The faculty will accomated with the students as that might impact on incresed safety and security and build trust as a strength.

Weakness:

1. The trip is not compulsary for the student so the participation would reduce for the trip.

2. Trips are limited and there is no long distance plan on the trip.

Opportunity:

1. The trip should be made a compulsary for the students as a learning process.

2. The education institution needs to offer 50 percentage expenses, so that increses on the number of participation and even students with lower income would join the trip.

Threats:

1. The safety and security is the major threat, as where the parents needs to acknowledge for the trip safety.

2. Extreme care needs to be given for the students in the trip, if anyone missed that could create problems.

FIELD AND EDUCATIONAL TRIPS

Ensuring that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) memo on field trips is diligently complied, bonafide faculty members may organize relevant educational/field trips which students can join. However, these policies and guidelines should be considered and followed:

I.The faculty member has written a formal request to hold educational/field trips, stating clearly the objectives and the significance of the trip to the course or program. The letter must include the planned travel itinerary. This must be filed at the Office of the Dean at least one (1) month before the proposed schedule of the trip. Students must secure a certificate of insurance from the local Campus Student Council.

II.Local trips that are beneficial to the training of students are given priority over long distance trips. This is to minimize time and financial expenses.  

III.Educational field trips are limited to only one (1) per semester per class. Consideration may be made within programs, thus recommendation from the Department Chairman or Program Head is necessary.

IV.Students participating in the trip should secure a waiver duly signed by the parent/guardian at least one (1) week before the scheduled departure.

V.Students are expected to shoulder all expenses of the trip.

VI.Educational field trips are not compulsory. Students may opt not to join. In its place, the faculty member should give an alternative activity or homework to those who will not be joining the trip.

VII.The faculty member who organized the trip will accompany the students all throughout the trip.

VIII.The University may impose additional requirements on educational/field trips to ensure the utmost safety of the participating students and faculty.
