Explain two different ways, other than by CD, that either you or your relatives can share a software programme to calculate your income tax, with two work colleagues. What is most suitable storage medium for backing up data used by users of application software? Identify one (1) suitable application software and justify your answer in terms of cost, speed and capacity. What storage medium would you recommend to a classmate to use for storage of the application files used in this course, in a secure and flexible manner? Justify.

Explanation / Answer

I would recommend database in one way because a database is nothing but the software and can be used to store the calculated results without any doubt. The other way is to use the tape drives to store the results eventhough tapes can store limited information. The most suitable storage medium for backing up data is database only because it has the highest capacity to store for longer time. There are many applications softwares which are successfull in terms of cost, speed and capacity now a days. One of those is Paytm. It is one of the application software which we can book anything like movie tiket, Bus ticket,elelctricity bill etc like these many more and also it stores all these transactions for the future reference. In order to be secure and flexible the only storage medium which i will recommend is database.
