Subject: Standardization of Breaks Duration

As you all might be aware that, as a team we are growing and doing good business and growing along with the Organization.

However, in the recent past, we have been receiving complaints on the schedule disturbance, as some of the employees have resorted to taking breaks at the ‘non-designated’ working hours leading to their absence and thus a pressing needs to change in schedules which would result in missing targets and as a habit this could even lead to losses.

We do acknowledge that as regular employees we are entitles for breaks and it also helps us in refreshing ourselves, to give better outputs.

Taking into considerations, all the above factors, the Management has decided and finalised a plan for standardizing the break hours.

As per the new rule, which will be effective 6th of Nov onwards, the standard Break time of 15 Min, in the morning and afternoon and 30 Min lunch break hours shall b defined and all employees are advised to strictly aadhere to the break timings failure of which could result in subsequent corrective measures.

As this is a matter of importance considering its impact on the work, the rule would be implemented with control and monitor measures. We shall monitor the followance of he rules and would not hesitate to pick employees who are not adhering to the new rules, in the interest of he people and the organization.

We solicit all of your cooperation in making this process a success to help standardize the break timings in the interest of you all.

Do not hesitate to come in with questions, if you have.

Best wishes,

Subject: Too bad but we can’t always have what we want – the company has to work

I know that many of you don’t like the break rules and some of you don’t really care (and other people are pretty good), but there are rules for a reason. However, we determined that keeping track of employees while the took breaks at times they determined rather then when we determined the regular breaks was becoming a problem. This isn’t working out very well. In fact, this is becoming a problem determined by the irregular break schedules, or non-schedules, that everyone was having. Being a nice boss, all of you need to determine what the right way to organize this is. The new rules are not going to be optional. If you do not follow the rules. you could be docked from your pay for hours when you turned up missing since your direct supervisor will not be able to determine if you are on “break” or not and will assume that you have walked away from you’re job which will create a big problem for everyone because the schedules will have to be changed and people will not be very very happy. we cannot ever be at all responsible for errors that result rom your inattentiveness to all these new rules. I have already heard many many complaints from some of you and so I hope this email will end this issue once and for all because the decision ahs already been made and that’s been determined as final. Starting on Monday, November 6, you are all immediately required take a regular at least 15 minute break in the morning and again in the afternoon and a regular thirty minute lunch at the times determined by your supervisor in advance NOT when you think you need a break or when you get around to it.

There will be no exceptions to this new rule!

Let me know if you want to discuss this.

Let me know if you have questions.
