Question
The greatest threat to global sustainability is the fact that the technological advancements happening in the field of technology to make the availability of renewable sources of energy, in the most commercialized way, is still lacking or is rather growing at a slow speed as compared to the quantum of deterioration happening to the species survival and diversity and to the biodiversity as well due to exploitation of the natural resources which are non-renewable in nature.
Accordingly, our Company into the food-service business needs to pay heed to various environmental issues to ensure that the quality of life on this planet will not continue to degrade. We could rather find it challenging to even analyze the various aspects of Environmental deterioration especially with regards to the exploitation of Fossils fuels or the non-renewable sources of energy that has given rise to the overall greenhouse effect in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing the planet to be warmer than the earlier generations.
Therefore, we could focus upon the ways that can be undertaken to preserve the earth from further damage even with our small steps in the food service arena. Accordingly, measures could be undertaken from our end, to make and keep our world a safe and sustainable environment. For example, we could undertake one of the major remedy to the environmental issues concerning an Organization is ‘Green Marketing’ concept in our business. With more awareness that has been created in the recent ages across the planet about conservation of the planet by opting for Greener remedies, there has been a gradual development of the concept of ‘Green market’. The world has started gaining the advantage of the pollution-free environment to deal with the issues of Global warming. There has been a realizing factor of how a greener survival strategy in now the need of every business. Green marketing involves marketing of such products that do not cause any damage to the environment. Therefore, attempts are to be made by not only by the ‘Few we’ but also by all the we in the Organization to modify and innovate the products that incorporate the concept of ‘Green marketing’ and the same could be reached out to the consumers by way of influential social ad campaigns and other promotion techniques
Engaging the employees around sustainability is essential because one could rather find it challenging to even analyze the various aspects of Environmental deterioration especially with regards to the exploitation of Fossils fuels or the non-renewable sources of energy for the Industrial usage purposes by the workers, that has given rise to the overall greenhouse effect in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing the planet to be warmer than the earlier generations. Further, there would be a considerable impact due to the role that would had been played in more detail by the increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the lessening of Ozone layer that protects the planet from various Ultraviolet rays of the Sun. It would in fact take time to even reflect upon the ill-activities of the Organization that does not regards to the Sustainability concept, that is anyway responsible for such a depletion of Ozone in the atmosphere and for the widespread of greenhouse gases in the air. There would be all the more alarms raised for the people to act upon to make the planet a better place to live in without the involvement of the Organizations to create the sustainability tools by engaging the employees for the same. It is to be also noted that rate at which the glaciers are melting all across the world would make the water levels rise to such an extent that would again be a grave cause of concern. In various countries of the world, the inadequate rains would further result into the events of water crisis which is directly incidental to the loss we are causing to the environment which in turn would impede the growth of an Organization in a long run. Further, the excessive use of the fossil fuels are again adding more level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere making it heavier and more harmful for the existence of living beings in the planet and the exploitation of these fuels could be considerably related to the Organizational activities and hence employees need to be engaged to curb the same.
Therefore, in order to preserve the earth from further damage, measures could be undertaken to make and keep our world a safe and sustainable environment. One way to deal with the same would be to engage the employees to take steps to come up with alternative energy resources to control the deterioration of the planet any further and to implement the same in the system. In order to support this activity, one of the major remedy to the environmental issues concerning an Organization and implementing sustainability is the ‘Green Marketing’ concept. Therefore, attempts are to be made by not only by the ‘Few we’ but also by all the we in the Organization to modify and innovate the products that incorporate the concept of ‘Green marketing’ and the same could be reached out to the consumers by way of influential social ad campaigns and other promotion techniques. The same could be put into practice by involving the employees in this activity.
Accordingly, the following two would be the major principles and applications of the sustainable tools that are to be to put in use to reduce the carbon in the atmosphere and to compel the public to rethink about the usage of renewable sources of energy and to deal with the waste management issues more effectively:
1. There should be a need to provide a suitable background on the development, implementation and review of Sustainable tools in the field of construction and also its universal application to various other industries.
2. Designing of a Sustainable Tool in the Planning Process with regards to the resources and waste management goals and obtaining various grounds for a deliberation in way of implementation of the sustainable tools and to provide a framework of evaluating the key performance indicators with regards to such an implementation and thereby help to suggest a process for the entire strategic review.
With regards to the Product innovation, risk analysis of the newly developed business model using the sustainable tools to structure an approach to reduce the carbon emission and undertake various waste management programs, following could be the guidelines undertaken:
• Eliminate the usage of conventional and non-renewable resources of energy
• Mitigate all such factors that goes into polluting the air, soil and water
• Develop such a healthy surrounding that is accessible for both indoor and outdoor activities.
• Securing the natural ecosystems and cycles and enhancing the same.
• Undertaking the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to convert the ‘waste’ into useful resources.
• Creation of a flexible and more adaptive environment to the climatic changes.
• Decentralization of the electricity and water systems.
• Undertaking of social campaigns to solicit the support to implementing a Greener planet activities.
• Opting for greener ways of commutation.
To make the more sense to our business, we could use disposable plates to serve food which are bio-degradable. Electricity used in our business could use solar panels and instruments to run our machineries for the preparation of food and also to lighten up our restaurants. Use of plastic should also be restricted in our business to promote green marketing concepts such as the take-away parcels could be given in eco-friendly carry bags, etc.
